Mrs. Collison has been involved in education for 15 years. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Minnesota State University Moorhead. While teaching in Houston TX, she earned a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Sam Houston State University.

Before joining the LHES staff, Mrs. Collison served in a variety of teaching and leadership roles with Cypress-Fairbanks ISD near Houston. She taught three years in first grade and two years in fifth grade. She then became a behavior interventionist and worked with struggling students from kindergarten to fifth grade. She was then hired as an assistant principal and spent four years in that position in Cypress-Fairbanks before being hired as the assistant principal at Bill Burden Elementary. After two years at Bill Burden, Mrs. Collison joined Liberty Hill Elementary as the principal.

Mrs. Collison leads with heart. She believes that all students can learn at high levels. With teamwork and perseverance, each student at Liberty Hill Elementary will reach their full potential. Maintaining a positive school culture will contribute to success as well as keeping communication open among staff, students and parents.

Through continuous professional development and the work in our Professional Learning Communities, staff members at Liberty Hill Elementary are learning what it takes to influence students in a modern, growing and challenging society.
