- Oct. 31 -- Trunk or Treat at Liberty Hill High School & Santa Rita Middle School
- Nov. 10 -- Veterans Day Flyover beginning at 9:30 a.m. Each campus will also have Veteran's Day ceremonies. Parents should check campus calendars for times.

Perfect ACT Score
We were notified this month that two of our high school students, Abby Parsons and Conrad Gerten, had perfect scores on their ACT exams last summer. We are proud of them and expect great things from them in the future.

TASB Risk Management Fund Excellence Award
Marissa Gonzales from TASB came and presented the award to Chief of Schools Travis Motal for outstanding district initiatives to keep students safe.

Principal Appreciation Month
October is Principal Appreciation Month. LHISD is blessed to have the best principals in the state.

The entire student body of Sant Rita Middle School received a presentation from Superintendent Snell and VLK Architects on mascot possibilities. The students were then asked to complete a survey around the "cat family," alliteration, and a "ranch theme." Students could also choose independent mascots. Below are the results of the first meeting. 868 students joined in the survey. The second meeting will be held on Oct. 18 with student leaders to narrow down the choices and bring options to the Board.
